Al-Ihyaa Social Welfare

Empowering Communities Through Islamic Education

Al-Ihyaa Social Welfare was established on 15th November 2019 with the mission to administer and improve Islamic education at the grassroots level, particularly within family-oriented areas. Operating in the Lagdera and Dadaab sub-counties of Garissa County, the organization currently oversees five Islamic primary and middle schools. These schools aim to provide quality Islamic education and foster ethical development among young learners. With the increasing demand for Islamic education, the number of students has grown significantly, currently serving a total of 547 learners. Our dedicated teaching staff of 14 members works tirelessly to nurture the next generation of knowledgeable and ethical Muslims who will contribute positively to both their communities and the global society.

Urgent Appeal for Support

We are currently overseeing five Islamic primary and middle schools, serving a total of 547 learners across the Lagdera and Dadaab sub-counties. However, we are facing significant challenges due to the growing number of students, which has placed immense pressure on our limited teaching staff. With only 14 teachers, we are currently experiencing a shortfall of three teachers to meet the educational demands of our students. This staffing deficit is hindering our ability to deliver quality education and Islamic knowledge to the children in our communities. We kindly appeal for support to help us recruit the necessary additional staff and ensure that we can continue providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for our students. Your assistance will make a profound impact on the future of these young learners and the growth of Islamic education in this region
